AN INDEPENDENT school is seeking exemption from the controversial A-to-E reporting system, claiming the system is at odds with its founding principles.
The Federal Government has made education funding to the states dependent on the introduction of the system in all schools.
The school council at Preshil has applied to state Education Minister John Lenders for an exemption from the reporting system up to year 10. The Hawthorn school is the second school to seek an exemption.
